If you want to get OpenVPN running on your server, the easiest way is using the OpenVPN-AS ( Access Server ). OpenVPN-AS is the commercial version of opensource OpenVPN project. But they are kind enough to let you use the OpenVPN-AS free for 2 concurrent users. Of course you can buy licenses and increase the user limit, But for personal use its enough.

Installing OpenVPN-AS is very easy compared to the regular OpenVPN and it comes with a nice web based management interface as you can see on above screenshot. Also the web interface has nice options like showing bandwidth usage, connected user info etc. You can run OpenVPN-AS on 128MB ram VPS or higher. 128MB of RAM is more than enough for this purpose. I have lately found this kickstarter crowd funded project named “Ghost” which is a new blogging platform trying to enter to the market crowded with WordPress users. Ghost project is already fully funded and still they have 19 days to collect more funds.

It certainly looks nice and Ghost is node.js application which uses Sqlite for its database. There is not much fully functional proof apart from the basic tryghost.org  but they have some nice screenshots and a video on its kickstarter page .  Continue reading

Cpanel is now developing its all new X4 theme to replace the current X3 theme. They have an entire site and development blog dedicated to X4 news here. Development version is available as a plugin for Cpanel and you can install X4 on your WHM servers but currently its at Alpha stage so installation on production servers isn’t recommended.
